PHI BETA SIGMA FRATERNITY COVID-19 DIRECTIVES AND GUIDELINES
All chapters are directed to comply with the following policies and guidelines strictly. The Directives and Guidelines below are in addition to applicable local (municipal and state) healthcare guidelines. Activities resulting in COVID-19-related claims are not covered under the Fraternity’s general liability insurance policy.
PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIRED FOR FRATERNITY LIVE GATHERINGS AND EVENTS
According to the CDC, while vaccination does not prevent COVID-19 infection, it does protect against severe illness and death and dramatically slows the spread of COVID-19 transmission. The US Food and Drug Administration has granted full approval for the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, widely available to anyone who wishes to be vaccinated.
Phi Beta Sigma seeks to provide a safe environment for all who participate in our events and activities and has formally endorsed and encouraged all members to get fully vaccinated. In addition, Chapters have been encouraged to support and advocate for complete vaccination in their respective communities.
Only members who have been fully vaccinated and provide proof of such vaccination to the Fraternity’s International Headquarters or the designated Regional Web Portal may participate live and in-person in any Fraternity State, Regional or National meeting or gathering including state and regional conferences.
All attendees must undergo temperature checks before admission into the event.
All attendees must wear a mask during the event. Masks must be worn except while eating, drinking, or taking oral medications for brief periods.
All fraternity members in attendance must have completed the assigned risk management training, and all attendees must sign the Waiver and Release form. All waivers must be submitted to the IHQ within three days after the event.
Submit a copy of your vaccination card as an IMAGE or PDF format. ONLY submit one type.
